1. How are you pursuing your God-given purpose and destiny? And what is one thing you would say to encourage someone trying to pursue their God-given purpose today?

Being in Training and Development really allows me the opportunity to work with people’s core—their mind and beliefs. I enjoy helping to provide a framework that people can experience freedom so they can see themselves, their life, their work, and families through a completely different lens they may not have ever had access to. This is where I’m called to and it’s rewarding to know I get to positively impact someone’s life and provide a springboard that catapults them to where they really want to be and yet, never thought possible.

I am a visionary and big-picture thinker. I’ve had to personally learn not to get lost in that vision, but to become the work of vision daily. I would often get caught up in perfection over practice, and I’ve learned that just approaching my purpose on a day-to-day basis is what keeps me focused and sane. It also minimizes any overwhelm and my desire to assist God with what He’s doing! Just focusing on my daily objectives, as they relate to my purpose, also helps me to trust God more. I know I’m not doing His job and am completely focused on mine (which I’m sure He appreciates).

Finally, I believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience. With that said, if I could encourage someone today, I’d say don’t be hard on yourself. We can be champions at tearing ourselves down. You’ll make mistakes, and that’s okay. The Bible says that we all fall short of the Glory of God. It also says we can fall seven times, but to get back up. And when you do, know that you are not condemned for whatever you feel the imperfection or situation is you are looking at. God wants to love on you and encourage you, and He wants to heal whatever brokenness you may have that is causing you to trip.

2. What motivates or inspires you?

I’m inspired by beauty and nature. I’m even more inspired by the underdog—someone or some situation where the odds seem impossible, and yet the results and success produce baffled logic.

3. What books and podcasts are you currently reading and listening to that are helping you to continue growing and learning?

I am an avid reader and usually read a book a week. I mostly read the Bible and personal development books. Some favorites are listed below:

Dotcom Secrets by Russell Brunson

Believe Bigger by Marshawn Evans Daniels

Year of Yes by Shonda Rhymes

4. Tell us more about your businesses and how you are using them to make an impact in Market Place Ministry.

I have a training and development company and one of the ways we are excited to support and serve other women is through our brand new project called Welcome Reinvention. Welcome Reinvention is for any woman who is unexpectedly or intentionally face-to-face with reinvention and is clueless and overwhelmed as to their next steps. We provide tools, resources, and access that is critical for us as women to experience. These tools come from a broad perspective that brings us together as women, but also specific enough to meet one of our beauties right where she is. Our desire is that something shared or provided—the blog, coaching, challenges, or the podcast—strengthens and catapults her into the juicy places she sees in her mind. This tangible shift she experiences is very much an "ashes to beauty" exchange that transforms her life.

5. What do you love about Equipped by Faith?

I love that EBF is not your typical Bible Study. I remember the first time I attended and was expecting a traditional Bible study format and it was not. I was a bit lost and confused at first, but then realized the power of just sitting and being still, and being able to be washed and sharpened. EBF is such a precious experience that imprints love and so much more on your soul. Also, not being from Dallas, I love being able to meet such a great group of girls. I cherish my first Wednesday’s of the month so much.

Thank you, Sarah! We love you! Be sure to follow Sarah on her journey at @WelcomeSarah and @WelcomeReinvention!

XO-
