GIVING OUR BEST

best |best| adjective of the most excellent, effective, or desirable type or quality: She gave her best.

We’re coming into a new season with our company this fall, celebrating 10 years since MINT opened our first office! It’s incredible to look back at all God has done over the years and how God has used our willingness to simply serve Him with the gifts He’s given to us–and how God has multiplied those gifts just like the parable of the talents Jesus told in Luke 19:12-27…

“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” Luke 16:10

Field always says, “MINT dentistry’s success is nothing short of a miracle and I refuse to take any credit for it. The amazing people God has brought to us and continues to bring to us is really the biggest miracle—and I thank God every day for each of them.” But I have also watched how Field’s trust in God and willingness to give his best has resulted in incredible success, favor, and blessing for our family.

Something really powerful that happens when we give God our best

I am so proud of Field for always giving his best and working harder than anyone I know. No matter what job Field has had in his life, he has always worked at it with his best effort. Many see his success and where he is today, but they have no idea how many hours he put in to get here. Field is one of the hardest workers that I know, and always, always, always gives 110% in everything he does. I am so proud of him and the legacy he is leaving for our family, and how we are teaching our children about working hard and doing their best so they can reap a harvest of blessing.

"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ." Colossians 3:23-24

I believe God created us to have a relationship with Him and gave us the ability to work so we could have a sense of purpose in our productivity. When we choose to live life in a way where we allow laziness to creep in, we can often begin to feel lethargic, depressed, and can even lose the passion and purpose for our lives. When we choose to work with only half or none of our effort, we are not honoring God with the gifts He gave. None of us are perfect in this, but I do believe God honors our efforts when we work hard with the gifts He has given to us!

"God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another." 1 Peter 4:10

What gifts and talents has God given to you? God has a specific destiny and calling on your life and I believe we find our purpose through the unique gifts He gives to us. What are your passions? Start writing those things down and think about ways you can serve God through doing those things.

God has called us to give our best effort in all we do. He has called you to walk in complete obedience, surrender, and service to Him by using the gifts, talents, and abilities that He has given to us! Whatever you do today, do it with all of your heart–giving your best effort for the One who has given His best for you!

My prayer for us today: Dear Father, I pray that you would show us who you’ve created us to be. Help us to see ourselves as Sons and Daughters of the Most High, so we will live that way! Help us to see the gifts and talents you have given to us, so we will be able to give them back to you. Show us just how much you love us. Remind us how special we are to you and give us grace to get through whatever trials we are facing today. Amen!

XO-

Sabrina
