Her Story: Tiffany Hendra

her |həː, hə| pronoun 1 used as the object of a verb or preposition to refer to a female person: Sharing her story brought healing to others.

We were so honored to have returning speaker, Tiffany Hendra back with us last night for our Equipped by Faith Easter Edition! (Big thanks to Priscilla Trevino of Perfectly Timed Events for incorporating our first-ever EBF Egg Hunt!)

Tiffany inspires women from all walks of life to live their most authentic, stylish and purpose-filled lives. She is a wife, TV host, empowerment & media coach, creator of Sanctuary Of Style and former cast member of Bravo’s Real Housewives Of Dallas. With her spitfire, but nurturing attitude, Tiffany gives women the nudge they need to step out of their comfort zone and take ownership of their dreams. Her vision is for women to live in freedom by overcoming their negative programming from the past, give up victimhood, find their voice and stand boldly in their authenticity.

Everyone wants to "find their purpose" but Tiffany believes we must focus on our authenticity and relationship with yourself and God first. She will be your confidence coach, your purpose partner, your spiritual sister, and an authenticity advocate standing in your corner. But her story wasn’t always this way. We love how Tiffany has turned a story of pain into passion—dedicated to inspiring and encouraging other women in their purpose and destiny!

Q&A with Tiffany Hendra

1. What do you think you were put on this earth for? What is your biggest dream?

My big “why" has streamlined over the past few years—as I continue to become ALL that God has created me to be, I inspire other women to do the same. My biggest dream is to become a NY Times Best Selling author and be able to help and serve even more women with my story and journey. Also, to be the executive producer of my own show! Again, to reach more women globally. All of my efforts and dreams to be directed and pointed back to glorifying God!

2. What are some of the obstacles you have had to go through to get to this point?

Girl, how much time do we have LOL?!? From daddy issues to feeling "invisible" and underappreciated in my childhood. I longed for my daddy to "see" me so that set me on the course of seeking approval from everyone. UNTIL, I received the fact that my Heavenly Father adored and approved of me. Sexual assault at 16, which led to a long list of obstacles—many of which were in my own mind and spirit. Low self-worth, shame, and crippling fear that manifested into drug/alcohol abuse and obsessive seeking validation through men/money/work/my appearance. I kept this rape a secret unit I was 31 yrs old. That's when the healing began, in 2002.

3. What motivates or inspires you?

I am inspired by MANY things but mostly from sitting quietly in God's presence every morning, worshiping His creation with long walks in nature, and gleaning from powerful thought leaders. Since I was little I have been inspired by anything creative and beautiful from art, music, books, fashion, travel.

4. What do you want to be remembered for?

I pray my legacy and what I am remembered for most is that I lived my truth in being of service to women and young girls. That I offered my whole self (not just parts) to God's assignment and calling on my life.

5. What advice would you give other women searching for their purpose, passion, & faith?

Enjoy the journey—your path to purpose—and release any resistance to it. We want to rush it and figure it all out. It's not something that you just pick out of a Purpose Catalog. Seek God, sit with Him, journal, search your heart, what lights you up. He will reveal it to you in His timing. I tell my clients there are no microwave makeovers. Transformation and stepping into our purpose take time. I didn't step onto my true path until I hit rock bottom on a bathroom floor in West Hollywood. I cried out to God to save me and He did. Now, how dare I not get my butt off that floor and seek to represent Him and be His billboard.

6. What has been your greatest achievement in life?

My marriage. This February 2019 we celebrated 15 years and as the divorce rate continues to increase, my husband and I are growing deeper together, loving one another stronger, and are truly purpose partners.

7. How does what you do reflect what God placed on your heart to share with the world?

Basically, what I stated at the end of question #5. I went through much pain and God is using it all in my purpose! Having experienced so much, I am able to meet women where they are and have true compassion for them.

8. What books are you reading?

I rotate many at a time from inspirational/motivational/self-development to business and digest them slowly. Some of my favorites right now are…

Adamant by Lisa Bevere

I've Been Thinking by Maria Shriver

LORE by Jeannette Schneider

5 Things Successful People Do Before 8 A.M. by Terri Savelle Foy

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill (I've read a few pages daily of this one for over 10 yrs)

9. How do you stay encouraged & faith-filled?

PRAYER!! My practice of sitting and soaking in God's presence first thing EVERY morning. I call it my spiritual workout. It's a non-negotiable in my life! I read faith building devo's like Jesus Calling and listen to various ministers and thought leaders.

10. Favorite scripture of the moment (or ever)?

I choose an anchor verse every year and for 2019 it's Isaiah 42:6-7… “I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house."

A big aspect and foundation of my purpose + biz are to help women live in freedom!

We love you, Tiffany!
